I need a battery pack of 4 protected 18650s. So I can utilize my current 2 cell charger, this would be my first choice of configuration.

Can they be used in parallel like any other battery? I want to take advantage of the features a protection circuit provides.

Thanks!!

Yes, you can parallel them up for extra capacity. However, keep in mind that if you're pulling more current than one 18650 cell can provide you may have problems as individual cells drop out due to low voltage.

Most likely I'll be running two LEDs. I just want 8 or so hours run time.
