I've done a bunch of searching, and read most of the sticky on P60 LED drop-ins, but I still have a question. I'm looking for a nice, low power, efficient p60 led drop in for general, not tactical, flashlight use. One thing I learned from the p60 thread is that many (most?) of the multi-mode LEDs don't really use that much less power on the low modes, so you're basically burning juice for not much output.

So what are good, low output, preferably single mode, 30-60 lumen P60 Led drop-ins?

Thanks,

-John

DX14442 and 17593 use considerably less current on the lower modes. The latter uses ~35 mah on the low-low setting. Run time comments in reviews can be mis-leading if one reviewer uses primaries and another uses RCR123. To further con volute things, battery capacity can vary greatly between brands.
