Depends upon what size you accept for a keychain. I personally do not like anything larger than a Photon, others will go as big as some single cell 123 lights.

Perhaps the Fenix L0D might be considered a candidate for you.

Fenix LD01 (aluminum or Stainless Steel) is the finest keychain light in my opinion.

There are several great threads on this very topic and you will read some spirited discussion on this board, for example:

You need to define what you mean by "keychain" light. Some are comfortable with a 1xCR123 or 1xAA light on their keychain while others can only have a coin cell powered light on their keychain. :)

If you want both output and runtime then your best bet would be a multi-level light so you can have high output and long runtime depending on level you choose. Off the top of my head, here are a few multi-level "keychain" sized lights worth looking into:

Photon Freedom
Photon ReX
Fenix LD01
Muyshondt Aeon
Draco
Lummi Raw

Hi,

I find that in these forums - that is WAAY to general of a question to ask. :)
You might want to narrow it down by battery type for starters. How much you want to spend is another question.

I'm kinda in the same boat - I'm looking for a high-powered 1xAAA powered with NiMH batteries. And even in that category, you can have many opinions on whether you want a TRUE keychain light to go on your keychain or just an EDC(Every Day Carry) light that you can keep in your pocket. I'm in the latter category myself..

So far, I'm heavily leaning toward the Liteflux LF2x. It offers customizable settings so you can either have a very low 'low-setting' or a very high 'high-setting' or anywhere between them. But it's anywhere from $52-$60, depending on which site you look at.

(SIGH) - no question regarding a flashlight is simple here.

Well I'm looking for something that is about 3" long or under and runs on either AAA, AA or CR123A (?). I usually don't have my keys in my pocket so it doesn't have to be micro in size. Price is not a factor, but of course the more the bang for the buck, the better!
