I am trying to drive a single xr-e from a 11.1v li-ion (i want an 8 hour battery life at around 700ma output. I am not finding many options for small drivers (not buck puck) that have a sufficiently high max input. Can multiple drivers w/ lower inputs be connected to allow for a higher V battery? or- could I link a 7.4V and 3.7V battery in parallel or series and then use one or more drivers that have lower max input? Does this make any sense at all?

thanks in advance!!

I assume you are using 3 li-ion in series (3.7v x 3 = 11.1v). Do you have to use 3, and what is the application. If you can wire them in parallel, you would be looking at more cheap driver options.
