I'm trying to build a voltage regulator, as the title states. I've got a 12-cell, 14.4V Ni-MH pack. Fresh off the charger it reads 16.8V. I need to get this down to 13.8V or so, although an acceptable range would be 12-14.4V. The device used with this may draw 7-8A at full power. Any help in building a voltage regulator would be appreciated. I am fairly good at soldering, and have a pretty decent knowledge about electronics.
