A PT Apex, PD30 and a Eagletac T100C2 should cover it. I would pack the Zebralight 501 for light duty. Maybe a Olight M30 for the forest and jungle, there some crazy stuff in there and I wanna see as much of it as I can.

1. A 3-4 days caving expedition.
A 60 lumen long runtime beater. This is a great hobby to remove a lights coating. Maybe a G3 with an M60LL and some write-wright over the optic. Primary cells. Extras in a small pelican case. Also take a headlamp in case you are crawling or climbing in the caves.
2. A month long forest expedition.
Give me a 20 lumen low and a 200 lumen high. OP reflector for a good balance between throw and flood. Warm tint. Primary cells. Extras in a small pelican case. You will want a headlamp for camp chores.
3. A 3-4 days camping trip.
Warm tint. Floody. 18650 Li-ion's Something with a decent low to read by. You will want a headlamp for camp chores.
4. A 2-3 days fishing trip.
Budlite and fire.
5. A week long mountain climb.
Something small and lite, you should be exhausted by dark and ready to sleep. Plus the more you take the more you drag up a mountain.
6. Night Hunting.
Very bright rifle mounted light with a red filter.
7. Urban warfare.
Let somebody else carry a light so they can get shot first. You be smart enough to radio for mortar dropped flares when you need them.
8. Jungle warfare.
No thanks. You can go, have fun. How about a Zippo?

For this, I am only going to list the lights i would take, that I currently own. Spare batteries for the longer trips is implied.

1 LD01 stainless, Zebralight H501, TK40, TK20
2 LD01 stainless, TK20, Zebralight H501
3 LD01 stainless, TK20, Zebralight H501
4 LD01 stainless, TK20, Zebralight H501
5 LD01 stainless, TK20, Zebralight H501
6 LD01 stainless, TK40
7 LD01 stainless, TK40, TK20
8 LD01 stainless, TK40, TK20

As you can see the LD01 makes it everywhere.. because its small, and a last resort backup. I felt a bit like a broken record... i just wanted to say LD01 stainless, TK20, Zebralight, TK40 for every single thing...

1. A 3-4 days caving expedition.

Solarforce L900m, Wolf-Eyes Sniper MC-E as a backup, Olight M20 as a last resort
and the 1xAAA that's in my pocket anyway.
If there's enough money left, I'd get me a HID light as replacement for the Solarforce.
(Microfire WarriorIII, Polarion X1 or the like)

2. A month long forest expedition.

See above, w/o the HDI.

3. A 3-4 days camping trip.

Wolf-Eyes Sniper MC-E, Fenix LD10, the 1xAAA that's in my pocket anyway.

4. A 2-3 days fishing trip.

No Idea, I don't do fishing

5. A week long mountain climb.

Wolf-Eyes Sniper MC-E, Fenix LD10, a Headlight, maybe a Zebralight 501.

6. Night Hunting.

No Idea, not a hunter either

7. Urban warfare.

Olight M20, Romisen RC-N3II and a 1x AAA.

8. Jungle warfare.

No idea, living in Europe I don't have the chance to went to the jungle often. ;)

the more a long runtime is of primary concern, the more I tend to take a LED light. Normally,I wouldn't do so as I strongly dislike the color of their light, but.... for a month out there would simply involve TOO many batteries to take an incan with me. In this case, I would grab a few 18650s and my Wolf Eyes MC-E sniper.
All three to four day-campings would be covered with my C3 Centurion. I would grab 6 pieces 17500s, my custom-built (by Lumens Factory) dropins 8V / 500mA and go for it :D

The more a short trip into the woods is the plan, I would like to take at least my Wolf Eyes M90 13V-setup. With in total 6 pieces 18500s. And if I had some more people with me to carry all the spare batteries, I would also take a MagCharger with me

below polar circle.. in country which used to make
a light that works with 1*AA (backup if others fail)
a light that works with 1*cr123 (ultra-reliable like ra twisty)
a light that works with 2*cr123 and 1*18650.
a monsterlight that works with 18650s or cr123s
a headlamp that works with cr123 or AA or 18650

and alot of cr123 batteries, some 18650 (2-3 times to fill all that use them) and 2 spare AA batteries.

AA=easy to find around the world if i run out.
cr123=good for extreme temperatures
18650=runtime. when they run out the cr123s come in.

this way i have basically 3-4 lights that work with cr123 and 1-2 that works with omnivalent AA battery.

in the warfare.. hmm maybe maybe i might take infrared goggles instead of flashlight.

Guys, practicality is important.
Carrying 3-4 lights in a month long forest expedition or mountain climbing is not practical haha. Trust me, i've been doing that and all the extra weight counts.

In the forest, it is not that big of a deal to me, but on a mountian, whew! even climbing 4000 or so feet is killer. I like to laugh at all of the first timers who start giviging some of their stuff away like batteries and rain ponchos :hahaha: i have only hiked up a few, but i know it is a whole lot harder that your standard forest hike

true.

but if it is too hard, you are trying to go too fast.
or too out of shape to be there in first place. pace yourself and know your limits.

im so out of shape that i know that i wont be going on such trips. not until i am ready to carry the stuff i want and need to. and carrying that army rucksack wasnt fun decade ago but with thorough training it came along where ever we marched.

Hello,
The more I see threads like these, the more I am convinced tha the Fenix TK20 is really one of the lights to have, as well as an ARC AAA

1. A 3-4 days caving expedition.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA and the headband from Nite-Ice to use the light hands-free.
2. A month long forest expedition.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA
3. A 3-4 days camping trip.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA
4. A 2-3 days fishing trip.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA
5. A week long mountain climb.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA
6. Night Hunting.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA
7. Urban warfare.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA
8. Jungle warfare.
Fenix TK20 + ARC AAA

Kind regards,
Joris

It depends. Sometimes on weekends suddenly my friends want to go on a hike or a 2 day hike, we don't really plan for the trips, we just...go...
:naughty:
And why carry 3-4 lights up a mountain...? The extra weight is so not worth it.

I'm guessing he chose the TK20 because of the warmer tint. Gotta agree, they make nature look much nicer.
