I have 8 good NiMH "C" cells, and several "D" cell flashlights I'd like to use them in.

What is the recommended source for inexpensive but decently-made adapters?

thanks!

Re: Inexpensive C to D Adapters - Found!

Talk about serendipity ......

Today I received my LaCrosse BC-9009 charger kit from Amazon. It is advertised to contain 4 "AA to C" adapters and 4 "AA to D" adapters. But, when I looked in the package, there were only "D" size units.

When I opened these, I found the "C" size units inside. Apparently, to use the "D" adapters, you first insert the AA batteries into the "C" adapters and then put these into the "D" adapters.

The great thing about this is that the set is more versatile than advertised. Since you have to put the "C" adapter inside the "D" adapter, obviously you could also put a "C" CELL inside the "D" adapter.
