Wow. I feel like I need to ask Milky to build me something crazy now. My little Gossling build is so tame.Love those M1 Illum hosts. So unique.
Hello, I got my KL1 Head in the mail today, screwed it on top of my E1e body and fired it up, bam huge light, great tint, perfect spot and spill, perfectly centered emitter , Thank You Scott
I love it, but I have a question about the UI,
I read around on it but couldnt find much other than the Gotham thread.
I have managed to switch from tac ui to gen ui and will stick with the gen ui for now, however when I turn it off in say medium its turns back on in ultra low everytime, not the last used level, also noticed TAP TAP CLICK wont latch it to max.
Is there another UI guide im just missing or is this the way this driver is set up, for everyone else reading this I have the Acorn 1.3 'Califon' Firmware

Abarth, you aren't in GeneralUI, you're in TheaterUI. You need to advance one UI further to get where you want to be.
Here's a chart a customer made of the Califon firmware some time back... it does a pretty nice job of showing the various capabilities, though it does make the interface look a lot more complicated than it really is!
BTW, I've got photos of both your lights and a whole bunch of others, too... bandwidth limitations (my own! not my broadband provider) have slowed my posting of these. But they will come sooner or later.
ooo cool so another 20 taps will get me to memory UI?

Hello folks,
I got the Milky RoomSweeper with a twist. It has a copper heatsink vs. the old versions that had brass. It also has a recessed star/emitter set-up which IMHO is the best for heat transfer.
In my prelimanary tests I show 500 plus lumens from turn-on to 3 minutes, but I have to apply some AS5 and top off the IMR 16340. More to come on that.
99.9999% copper looks raw and not as pretty as brass, but If I have some time I will polish up the heatsink to a mirror finish. The extra weight in the bezel makes it feel expensive and like a high quality piece.

Both lights look awesome (abarth and BigC)! Love those little e-series builds.
Now that is a heatsink.![]()
In the past we have had a light which flickered, in the present we have a light which flames, and in the future there will be a light which shines over all the land and sea.

All those pics C and not 1 piddly beam shot?
I bet it's all a beautiful flood!
All I have is an old Canon IXUS 55 point and shoot. Tried taking some beamshots with set daylight white balance (tried both -2 and 0 exposure) and they all turned out looking the same, not even half decent.![]()
The Milky SST-50 RoomSweeper is a flood light with a slight hotspot. Very Very floody and bright. I like the NiZn AA rechargeable cells and I was shocked at how bright this little light is with just 2 of those. My hosts was a UBH E-series body.
Here are the OTF numbers!!!!!

Nicewish i had a lightmeter at hand.
I wonder if Milky is still doing L1 mods.![]()
Hey Milky you got pM
Collecting is not about what you have but rather what you DONT have . . . yet.
ABTOMAT: "Newer Surefire lights strike me as the result of CNC programmers saying to each other "Hold my beer and watch THIS."
I figured another picture of a Milky with 2 AA cells wouldn't hurt
As you can see its not that big/long. It actually is surprisingly short.

Yes I did miss that build, very nice. Thanks,,,,
Heres a couple bad pics of mine. Things are progressing at the Lab, hang in there people.
L2 build, 3 primaries or 2 rechargeables, 727 lumens. I can't wait till it gets dark. Looks like it gonna be a winner.
