Holy crap that Taglite is sexy.

One question: Is the rechargeable battery replaceable, or is the light useless once it can no longer hold a charge?

Yes, The battery IS replaceble. But, Due to its water resistant design,
It will have to be changed by yours truly.. And if that ever happens,
I will only ask for you to send it back to me to take care of it

What if you get hit by a bus the day before the battery dies? What would I do then?

Is it not user-serviceable because of the silicone filling alone, or are there other seals that need to be broken to remove the covers? Is it possible to order one that I could service myself, even if it means I couldn't go swimming with it? It would never hit any water deeper than a puddle or a running sink anyway.

Hmm, fyrstormer, Sabrewolf "bites the dust"? I'd say you'll just have to go it on your own and see if he was wrong about the user not being able to change the battery! Prayers might be in order if you're the religious type...

I have these lights sealed up real good.
All the components are fully potted in
a 2-Part silicone that protoects them from
the elements. And on top of that, The
covers are glued to the top and bottom.
You would have to break the glue bond,
And then cut through the silicone.
I would definately Not advise this due to
the possibility of cutting into the battery
and causing a big mess That being said,
If you really want to handle that task on
your own then i won't stop ya. I can
supply you a battery too.

I was just offering the replacement
service as a courtesy because i know
people dont like to tackle jobs like that.
The replacement service is indeed free
of charge to any of the original owners.
And I would only ask for return shipping
and the cost of the battery to anyone
that bought the light from the original
owner. The battery is about 8 dollars,
and shipping is about 4. So 12 Bux

I ask again, just for fits and giggles, could I order one without the glue and the potting, if I pinky-swear not to blame you if I drop it in water and it never works again? Or is the glue and silicone a structural component as well as a sealant?

The glue and silicone are both structural components of the light.
But if you want this light done custom, Please IM me for more details.

Well, it is what it is then. Can't very well have a light that's falling apart all the time. If I had my way, though, I'd prefer tiny screws holding the faceplates on instead of glue.

I haven't just been asking questions to be annoying; I'll let you know when I'm ready to order one.

A little update




I have some news for ya folks
I decided to use double the magnets in the charging system
on the lights and charging cradles to make them hold onto
each other better. That means i had to order more magnets
And they wont get to me till the end of next week. But the
other good news is that i wont be gone much more than a
week from monday I will pick right up on them as soon
as i get back from the family matters in florida

Since the lights will have double the magnets, They will hold
onto other objects better. Like the sides of cars when you
change a tire.. Or your fridge

I appreciate the patience from you all, And will be getting these
little lights out the following week for sure!!!!!

They need some finishing work on the body,
But you get the idea meethinks.
They are just a tad thicker than the current
taglights as you can see. These will be offered
for sale soon too! I'am thinking around 250$
with the same options as the current taglights.

Just a little update
These 3 go to Photon Fest for the raffle
As some of you know, I am raffling off 4 Taglights
at Milkyspits (Scott) house tomorrow. And the
proceeds go to Milky and his family for hosting

Are the emitters run at 100mA each, or somewhere in that vicinity?
