need info on "ball lock pins"?..

I once saw these small quick release cylindrical ball lock pins and was wondering if they could work as a good lanyard clip? I don't know what these pins are called but they look like a small male to female cylindrical pins that snap into each other with split rings at each end. Did anyone try them for a flashlight lanyard clip? If you understood what I'm trying to say here,

where can I find these things?

That's exactly what I was talking about. What are these things called and are they secure enough to use for lanyard attachment?

they are called quick disconnects and are available at county comm.com look on the whats new page

I am using three of them. I like them, but if You need the ability to disconnect the flashlight with one hand, then You need a split ring that is larger than your thumb at the flashlight to operate it easily.
