Default Show us your bike light set-up

I think it would be cool to see photos of different bike light set-ups.
I use the Fish and Fenix bike mounts with a total of three head lights by Fenix-the TK11, LD20 and PD30. The TK11 is on max and the LD20 and PD30 are on strobe when I ride. I also have two multi-LED tail lights set to random flash. I have a Fish mount on my helmet that I can mount one of the lights with to give me directional light where I turn my head. I enjoy riding my bike at night but safety is a primary concern and good lighting is beneficial.

My mistake and my apologies. Perhaps a Moderator can move it to the appropriate forum.

While waiting for the forum move here's a photo of the set up on one of my bikes. All the lights are home made. The headlight is a P7 with Shark Remora driver and a "remote" mode switch beside the L hand gear shift. The tail light is a solid 1 inch diameter bar of acrylic with 2 red leds embeded so that its virtually indestructable. Most importantly it has excellent visibility from all angles including the side. I made the strobe driver myself.

    Hey DeFab-
That is an awesome arrangement of some cool illumination tools. You did a great job fabricating the mounting hardware. I'll bet the trail ahead of you looks like daytime. BTW how do you post photos like that with your reply to threads? I just know of using copy & paste photobucket addresses.

    Hi pe2er,
I like your double tail lights.
It's not the motorists in front of me I wory about (I can see them) but it's the guys behind me. I use a flashing light on the back of my helmet plus the bike taillight plus passive reflectors.

    Thanks!

    I worry about both
    - Oncoming traffic with blinding HID Lights
    - Traffic coming up behind me

..especially in the dark on an 80 kph road, and a combination of overtaking oncoming cars and cars approaching from the rear.
Fortunately, this does not happen too often

How deep did you embed the LEDs in the acrylic?
    Did you paste them inside?
What kind of drill bit did you use to drill the acrylic?

    NICE!

What emitters and optics are those using?

Where can those be purchased and how much?

This is my new light no pic of it on the bike yet but I have named it the Lumen Liberator because it uses the spare lumens that dont get out of the optics to shine down near the front tyre .

Spec is 6 XPE leds on 10 mm square boards from cutters
2 narrow carclo 10 mm square optics 2 medium optics and 2 eliptical optics
powered by a 14.8 li ion 3600mah battery and a Maxflex driver board.

    the all important beamshots .

first shot is with the bottom blanked off so just the optics shining forward

then the front blanked so only the bottom shining down near the wheel.

now with the lot opened up .

and a shot in the woods also

And as this is so new I have not finished the bar mounted one here is the work in progress now I have received a small batch from my local CNC machine shop

Its a triple P4 with a khatod optic. In the pic the med optics are installed but I ended up using the narrows instead. I think khatod closed their us office so shipping would be horried from them tot he US from italy. I think LED-spot has a similar optic that I need to check out.

I am using a Bflex as the controller with a 14.8v 4200 Li-Ion batt for an easy 4+ hours of run time.

Those housings I had done for me since my machines are small. I would have to order 10 of them and I think they would be about 150 each with button. I tried once to get a order going but bad timing on my part I didnt get any orders.

I am working on a new light that uses a P7. Should be smaller and lighter in weight. I cant wait to try it out.

On the bars - 2 x quad Cutter R2 converted Marwi nightpro alloy MR11 lamps one with narrow optic, one with the medium - powered by a 6.6Ah 14.8v Li ion battery.
On the helmet a triple Cutter R2 with narrow optic powered by a 2.2Ah 14.8v Li ion battery.
All driven @ 1000mA or 350mA with individual switches to the rear, driven by bFlex-V2B to give hi/lo settings & low flash for road use.
Very much on the right side of 2000 lumens, even allowing for loses & I've been >41mph offroad in pitch black darkness with them!
Total weight is under 900g & run time over 3 hours (using low for climbing)
