I modified a DX light with an aspheric lens. The result was a 5.7 degree beam near perfect for use with a scope. I have sold a dozen or more to hunters and they all say its the best light they have used. I supply them with a metal mount, rubber and velcro mount and a pressure pad switch all of which is available form DX.
The only real issue is the lens. I started with a DX one which worked quite well with a 4 degree beam but they then changed the lens and the ones the supply now are crap.
I now use the ones Ahorton supplies. This work really well but you do need to grind down the diameter of the lens to get them to fit.

I also change the driver in the light so it will put out full power on a single 18650 but it will no longer work with 2 CR123's

Flea Bay - Ultrafire 501A - DX / XP-E R2 5 mode drop in .
Should be able to do both for $20USD shipped

Or all from DX / 501B + XP-E R2 drop in .. Again $20USD ...
Or just buy a Ultrafire 502B R2 5 mode .

Heck , just about any R2 18650 / 2xCR123A light should do the trick .
Unless you want a smaller 1 x CR123A light ..

If your after a real thrower thats small , Sacredfire NF-007 , Put in a fresh RCR123A and it will throw nuts .
