Cree Q5 LED Drop-in Module (3.7V~18V Input) will this bulb work with a ryobi 18v battery directly connected? I would like to mount battery with the lower part of the flash light mounted to my frame and run a wire to a custom head lamp. If it would work, how long would it run with a large Ryobi lithium battery? Would I get 270 lumens? Thanks! http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11621

usually if batt is 18v, fully charged it is a bit higher, 1-2 volts,
i ran 12v mr 16 with 14,4 nicd pack from dewalt drill, worked just fine, in both 20w and 50w.
runtime i can't tell you cuz a large Ryobi lithium battery isn't an amps hour rating.
calculatre it, battery capacity\bulb draw= runtime(thou it is in theory, realty might be different)
