Long time flashoholic, wants undestand how to build custom lights.

So here is the deal, I have been spending lots of money on flashlights for as long as I can remember. I have been following the posts here for a bit in the background. I have come to envy the people that are putting custom lights together. I would like to learn how to be able to do projects like these as well. What recommendations of schooling or tyoes of education would you recommend someone who wants to be able build custom flashlights. Thanks in advance to all.

It appears a good education in machine shop, as well as basic electronics. Computer aided design might also be helpful.

Computer aided design is very helpful. Even learning how to use a basic free software, like qcad would be beneficial to you.

The most important things you will need are patience, persistence, and creativity.
