I have Five of these lights and need help identifying them.
Can anyone help me with any information?? There aren't any
special markings or numbers. I would be interested in letting
someone have them to mod if they do one of them for me.
They seem fairly heavy duty 2 D Cell body with screw-in LED on the
outside and some sort of tube type bulb in the center.

I just want to throw this idea out there: automotive timing lights? There are two light sources, one being a small flashlight bulb (its not an LED), and the other (in the center) looks like a strobe lamp. The light uses a convex lens to be able to project the light of either light source (though the off-center flashlight bulb might throw a weird beam). On the bottom switch, there looks like there is an icon of a spark plug. On the other side of the switches looks like maybe a port to plug in a inductive sensor to sync up the timing light pulses with the engine being tested (the sensor would clamp on to a spark plug cable). That is my guess.

Cool lights! If these are timing lights after all, I wouldn't mod all of them because they are one of a kind and serve a unique purpose (unless they are common or cheap somewhere). Thanks for sharing your find with us.

Where did you find them? Garage sale? Ebay? They look cool.
