If I am not wrong, the M6 has a fantastic flood throw character. The SL6 has a very thin pencil beam which can illuminate objects from quite a distance. I think the SL6 should throw furthur but I am not sure.

Both are 9 volts and use xenon halogen bulbs. The SL6 probably has a tighter focus. I don't know if you can even compare the M6 to the SL6. I think
