why does It have a SS replacment bezel
    why does it have UCL
why does it have 2 Orings
why do I have a triple drop-in on order

put you have a very good point and I could have had a very nice light if no changes were made and it was out of the box stock factory light

Comparing them both, they are quite different inside, as are the three mechanisms.

Assuming its possible, we would need to produce a second model of the brass ring, a considerable investment.

Lets see how much demand there is.

Yes. Any additional items can be added to any order (including bore batches) with no extra shipping cost.

There will be two options for adding clicky upgrades to future Bore Batches. Paying for both at the same time, you may send just the body and receive a ready to install clicky kit or sending the body and tailcap, I will install the new clicky for you and return both.

Its your choice and the price is the same.

which of the blacks would match Fivemeg bodys the best
This matte black (black/2) is closer to SF HA/black. I've not seen the smaller FM bodies in person, but the 26500 bodies tend to be gloss and/or semi gloss. Here's an example of a custom semi gloss (black/1) bezel on an FM body:

How many days/weeks until these are done?

Any idea when G2 tailcaps will be available?

We have 2 of the 3 parts ready to go, but didn't order the 3rd soon enough for a smooth launch.

I hope to have the first 50 kits ready to ship by next weekend.

The availability of the P/C caps is coincidental with our other operations and may not continue.
If there is enough demand, we'll try to source more, but they will likely come in fewer colors while costing more.

We have no G caps ready, but will try to source them. What color is most desirable?

Yellow or Orange! Of course black might be the majority.

The Z41 LOTCs that use the Allen capped screw instead of that weird rivet thing should be a lot easier to disassemble, or at least to get to the step where you get access to the plastic retaining ring (your Step 3).

Good point. I've not seen the allen type outside of the previous gen "dimple" designed cap.
Have you seen current versions that still use the hex screw?

I haven't really paid much attention to the current version Z41. I have two non-dimpled Z41 LOTCs that use the Allen headed screw. Can't recall if they are small or big button. I might have more of these Z41s, but haven't done any sort of inventory of them to know for sure.

    Hi Dan,

thanks for posting detailed instructions. For me it's too tricky and I've not got the requisite tools, so I'll go for a kit+tailcap+install thanks.

    So a couple of questions:
    - is there an extra charge for installation?
    - to order do I just reserve a kit, z41, shipping, insurance, mention requirement for installation, and then pay?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I did not even know they used a allen head screw on some of the Z41's until last night when I started to remove all the insides. All my Z41's that use the rivet were very easy to remove.

I use a small pair of needle nose pliers. I first pull the spring out, then the metal pressed in thing (sorry, not sure what it is called) and then I unscrew the plastic plug. I use the same small pair of needle nose pliers for the whole process.

There is no extra charge for installation, but for the time being, we are offering installation only in concert with, and as an option with our bore service:

    http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=236215

I'll consider pricing and logistics to making it a stand alone service. Please direct future 'service' questions there.
