Sweet mercy! That just ain't right.
You could call it Grippy, from the looks of it.
Fred, you continue to outdo yourself every time - raising the (Ti) bar with each new project. When will the madness stop?
The second pic from the bottom would make a sweet desktop background.

Fred, quit tempting me.
Had I known this was on your bench, I might have taken this one
Very nice indeed.
Hey, Fred, you've done it again! Not that I should be surprised. You just keep getting better and better and better. Many congratulations on this beauty. Will there be other colors eventually? As in magenta?
Awesome! Really awesome!!!![]()
Greetings from Germany

Hi Cheryl,
Nice to see you around again.
I plan to do a small production run of these, where my CNC shop would make the bodies, but then I would do the anodizing and surface finishing myself. That means that each buyer would get to choose their own color, from the somewhat limited range of colors that can be produced by anodizing Ti. And, as you know, magenta is one of those colors.
The hope is to have these available by March, if not late February.
I might offer just a twisty version, though, as those are far less complicated, and therefore, less expensive, than a clicky version.
nice design!
Dayum Fred! That one really sings to me....one of my faves!

Oh my.....one day I'm going to have to buy one of Fred's creations...I'm trying to resist but he simply keeps tempting me...Get thee behind me Fred!
Nice and clean looking design Fred, well done.![]()
Thanks, Jim. I find the grooves a nice way to do the anodizing and to still be able to have the coloring last, rather than being abraded away--a concern that you had re knives.
WOW
You do amazing work. Very creative, yet simplistic and elegant design.
Fantastic![]()
Yes they're squares.......and please stop calling me Shirley.......I'm sorry but some one had to say it.

My girlfriend said if I bought one more light she would leave me...........I'm sure gonna miss her.
Some final pics of Shirley, before I send her off to her new home.
The final configuration: Mini FluPIC driver, three levels, powering a Seoul P4 LED, bin U2SW0H; AW RCR123 battery, 2mm thick mineral lens, O-Ring sealed, McClicky tailswitch, and made from 6AL4V with anodizing in the grooves.
I do plan a production run of a similar light, but it will be a twisty and use an AW 17500 battery instead of the RCR123. And you will get the color of your choice for the anodizing, or one could even take it in bare Ti.
Fred-
The shipping gods were smiling... Express mail fifteen minutes ago. What a work of art... The extras were a nice touch as well. Beautiful! The seam on the tube for the battery is almost impossible to see, such nice detail. Thank you again!
