Help with removing tail cap button

I recently picked up a pair of dereelight javelins - they are both cool lights, but the tail switch on one of them isn't working. I want to disassemble the whole thing, and see if I can get it working, while I wait for Alan to ship out a replacement switch.

However, unlike some other lights I've tried, the threaded disk which holds the switch in place seems pretty stubbornly stuck. Usually I can use the tip of a screwdriver or paperclip to get it spinning, but this one won't budge.

Any tips on how to loosen this thing? It's the little plate with a hole for the spring to pass through, and two small holes to allow you to unscrew it. I'm not sure what it's called, but it is the part you would remove to get to the actual switch, or to change out the rubber piece on the tail cap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you have tweezers that fit the holes or needle-nosed pliers that fit the holes, those seem to work alright in general...
