What's the best way to get the batteries for a mag 623?

Hey guys I'm working on my mag 623 build and I have the some of the parts already. But I orginally planned to buy the battery pack from lex Luthor for the 2D mag. But now I learned that he doesn't do that anymore. So is there anyone else that does it or any company that makes the battery pack? Because I don't know anything about welding batteries together(though I am willing to learn).
Thanks,

4-AW's C-size IMR 26500's should fit nicely in a 3D Mag.

If you want a welded pack putting out 14.4v then one of these should work.

You will need a hobby charger and the quality of these packs are questionable (buy 2 or 3 to be safe) but they will get the job done.

Will I need to bore out my 2D mag? If so, is there anyone still boring out mag lites or how easy is it to do it on your own?
Are the other hobby chargers on battery junction any better?
