Re: Most & least important attributes of flashligts?
I really like the 2 stage output of my L1. I used it today when I went to the movies. It was too dark to find my seat, and the L1 on low setting didn't offend anyone.
The A2 Aviator will be my next surefire instead of the L4.
Re: Most & least important attributes of flashligt
Since my flashlights go backpacking with me these are my priorities:
1) Reliability (goes with simplicity of design)
2) Low weight (for obvious reasons)
3) Compact size (ditto)
4) Ruggedness (who knows? it may end up in a bear's mouth!!!)
5) Long runtime (to minimize/eliminate extra batteries)
Re: Most & least important attributes of flashligt
Least important attribute (in my opinion only) is the blinding hot spot it creates when being shined by itself on a very white wall, leaving my night vision temporarily non existent.
