What is the most efficient emitter right now (lumens per watt)? Is it the XP-G?

Is a P4 still the smoothest thing out there (don't have any SST-50's or 90's, and heard the Golden Dragons were very smooth). I'm not talking about a flood type beam, but something that is brighter in the center.
