Maglite battery power issue

Hello everyone,

I have currently been trying to use a 50watt halogen bulb in my 3D maglite. I have the bulb in place and the switch setup but I cant find a power pack that will fit in the light but run the bulb hot. I wired it up to a 18volt drill pack and it was blinding. Now I am addicted to the brightness but stumped. Does anybody know a power pack that could fit in there?? That will run the 50watt really bright.

How much space is left in your mag? You could go for 26650 or 26500 Li-Ion or build yourself a batterypack with 13x 2/3A or something in that range, but runtime will be reduced.

Four IMR26500's. Will need to mod the tailcap.

Be advised, depending oh how you have the mag rigged up, you may be looking at trouble with pro-longed use.

There is room for the original 3D's and even a bit more, probably a inch.
