Z2, A19, KT1 = any sense?

I have a C3 with the SRTH turbohead and a E2E.

I'm planning to order the Z2, A19 extender
and the KT1 turbohead. I'm running this by
CPF to see if it makes sense.

I love the C3 with SRTH. Really great
beam; incredible throw. I also like the E2E's
beam and its great size, but find the throw
to be a tad weak. I find myself wishing i
have something shorter than my C3/SRTH combo
but with greater throw than the E2E.

Hence, i'm thinking of the above purchase.
I'm not a LEO; my use is mostly for camping and
that sort of stuff.

I'm giving my C3 away since i prefer a
shorter flashlight. I intend to use
the Z2 + (either SRTH or KT1) to be my primary
flashlight when i go camping. Should I even
get the KT1 or just use the SRTH which i
already own? Any comments on this combo?
Does the KT1 with N1 have a wider, but
less tight hotspot than the SRTH with N1?
That would be my assumption.

ps) I'm getting the A19 in case i may need
the great throw of a 3-battery light with SRTH
for special ciccumstances.

Much thanks.

The N1 will only work with 2 cells, you will need the N2 for use with 3 cells. Your SRTH on the C3 should be an N2 also. The KT1 has a wider beam hotspot than the SRTH but it still works very well & it's shock isolated.

You will probably like the SRTH on the Z2 better than the KT1 because it's shorter, making the light smaller.

I would say go for the A-19 for sure and put it on your C3, then get a MN60 225L lamp and you will be impressed.

The KT1 is not shock isolated, the only one that is is the KT4 Turbohead bezel for the M3.
Even the KT3 and KT5 for 9AN and 8NX aren't shock isolated.
All of them do have pyrex though and are more solid than the SRTH.
Why don't you get the C2-HA and a KT1-HA. Remember that when using the A19 with the C2/3 you will lose the combat grip option.

jtivat, i already said i find the C3 combo too
long, and you're asking me to extend it with an
A19? Huh?

klaus, why c2-ha/kt1-ha? i don't see any
advantage over z2/kt1 except the HA. Am i
right? I sort of prefer black color over
HA though (my E2E is HA; C3 is blk). Also,
i find the straight edges of c2/c3 barrel
to be too exaggerated. i think z2 looks decent,
and it comes with the lanyard. optionally,
i can remove the rubber-rings as desired too.

(i can't go for G2Z because i may want the
charlie LOTC in the future)

Sean, how much bigger is KT-1 over SRTH.
Length and width-wise? Thanks.

Well, the HA was what made the whole thing interesting for you I thought. But else you don't have any advantages over the Z2 (maybe the clip), that's correct. Everything else is the same. I do love the Z2, too. I have a very old 6Z which is the precursor of the Z2 and I love it. It is small, slim and powerful. I added a Z41 and Z32 - that way it is always with me in my jacket. I don't have a KT1 on it though since I don't need it in that setup and useage.
