I love the Motorola Droid. Prior to that, I used an Omnia, before that was a Samsung I-760.

The Droid is very user friendly and I like having a slide-out keyboard. There are a ton of apps for it too.

There are tons of reviews, so I won't go into detail. However, you should know that the Droid doesn't currently offer an email signature (nice for business use, and you can actually create one, just takes a bit of work).

In my opinion: Windows phone for simplicity and reliability. Android has more apps but also a lot more bugs. iPhone is reliable but doesn't have enough customization options. I personally only use my phone for email, occasional browsing, GPS, music, and checking the weather. I have a tile on my start page for each of these and it makes it so simple. Windows Phone also has a great GPS system with a feature called local scout which detects your current location and shows you all restaurants, stores, etc in the area + reviews. The app selection leaves something to be desired, but I personally don't care for cellphone games and such.

It all depends on what you want to do with your phone as to which phone you get.

Windows has turned out to be better than what I thought given what I experienced with 6.X versions and it is very stable and easy to use but still lacking in Apps and is still in the early stages of development. The IPhone is nice with the most apps but has a very small screen compared to other phones so if internet surfing or games are your thing you might prefer a phone with a larger screen. BlackBerrys are solid with great business communications and security but lack in apps and wow factor. Symbian in my mind anyway is awkward with few apps and no future given that Nokia has all but dropped the platform. Android has tons of apps and comes in a variety of sizes and processors and offer more diversity than any other platform so it might be easier to find an Android that is perfect for what you want.

My advice is to take some time and try them all at a store and see for yourself what feels right for you. Before you buy read reviews and remember that when you buy a phone you will probably have it for at least two years so get what you want and don’t let a few dollars sway your decision.

I personally find anything larger than the iPhone is too large too carry comfortably.
