I think I can be at the computer. I wished I had the money to buy 3 for the rest of the family

Nice, this $50k has been burning a hole in my pocket! Should I assume a noon EST sale like the other two?

I can't even imagine how fast my wife would leave me if I did that! My most expensive watch isn't even that expensive.
If I can secure just one, I think I will be more than happy. With a lifetime warranty, I don't really see the need for more than one. Now, I DO see the need for one of each of Data's creations, so will need to acquire a 007 and 005 too. But one Tri-V is plenty (unless your name is chipwillis)

The next sale for the Tri-V flashlight will be tomorrow, Friday July 2nd.

The sales thread "SPY Tri-V sales thread #3" will be posted as a separate thread here in the Cool Fall Forum. The post time of the sale will be just after 12:00 PM (noon) Eastern time, USA (about 11.5 hours from now).

This sale of 21 lights is the final batch for the time being.

Please note that I go by actual time only. I do not use the CPF clock, never have, never will. The CPF clock is not usually very close to actual time.

PS. These lights will not ship till Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

    Cheers

I'll be in the hospital getting a test done and probably wont be around for the sale. Anyone want to be my proxy for the sale? PM me if you're willing. Thanks.

    You are correct Olaf.

(Hmmmm..... - a friend of mine wants also one but he isn't at home when the sales thread will start.
So I believe I must buy one for him.)

Judging by the number of interested buyers, 21 Tri-Vs should be enough for everyone with a few more left, unless there is more couching tiger hidden dragon then I expected
Think about it... a 2 stage light is all you need.

I find these sales threads very entertaining to watch I will be at work but I will be sure to look in to see how it goes.

It seems like there will be enough to go around this time but I will say good luck to every one who wants one

Supposedly, 10 people who wanted to buy Tri-V's in previous sales already have reserved places in line, so that's only 11 for the rest of us.

My honest opinion is that there will not be enough to go around. We'll find out soon.

I have reviewed this entire thread, as well as the 2 previous sales threads, and if everyone who has expressed interest buys a Tri-V, I have counted 19 Tri-V's accounted for. That only leaves 2 more for any new members. I would imagine that there are many more than 2 lurkers out there who want one, have the money for one, and just have not posted yet.

I'm pretty sure I've two instances where I've done a PU1 to switch configuration, but ended up "copying" previous settings to the selected slot. When I go back through the four different slots I find two are identical (not what I had programmed). I cannot repeat this at will and only experienced this twice. Anyone else run into this?

    Try clearing everything by doing:
    PU1 (CS1)
    PU3
    PU1 (CS2)
    PU3
    PU1 (CS3)
    PU3
    PU1 (CS4)
    PU3
    PU1 (CS1)

This should leave you in CS1 with all the configuration slots set with a standard factory cal.

    Cheers

Towards the end of the first post, under Batteries, would be a good place to mention how the batteries are inserted.

I was playing with the PU-2 lock function, and found that the light shut off in 10 sec in lock mode instead of the stated 20 second on the first page. 10 second is pretty short to do much.
Think about it... a 2 stage light is all you need.
