Default Who wants IMR 17670's?? Vote in thread!!

IMR 17670's ever wanted them????? to bad there not made!!

We need the above battery lets do a vote so I can send this to AW and let him see how many CPF guys want this battery.I could be wrong and no one wants them but lets let the people decide!!

It would be great to not have to bore my Surefire and maximize a 2.8A SST-50 for a short while. Also it would be great for an M6 running on 3x17670. Also there are several other configurations we can think.I vote yes on this and I would be in for 3.

    17670's fit Surefire!!!!!!
Imagine running a P60 SST50 without having to bore 2x17670 M4 IMR many options here.

Your SF M6 and FM 3x17670 with IMR's great

I don't have any 2x 17670 lights, so I wouldn't benefit from IMR17670 as much as I'd benefit from 17670 LiFePO4 cells. But, I would really like to see some IMR 17500 cells for my 3x CR123A lights!

Edit to add: I'm fairly certain this thread is in the wrong forum.

Will a P60 run at approximately full power with 1x IMR17670? If so, then yes, I'd be interested.

I've only had my 6P for a week but I've wanted an IMR17670 since getting it. Does that count?

as long as it gets the same capacity as 1100mah IMR18500s.

YES!!! No need to bore out the M4 body to use the LF IMR-M3T lamp!

The P60 Xenon will run, but nowhere near the brightness of 2xCR123As. The P60L is regulated, so I'd say it will be at full brightness.

Then I'm back to having no real need for IMR17670 cells that I can't currently meet with my 17670 LiCo cells, since I have no 4x CR123A lights.

    I can run the P90 with 2x RCR123 and the P91 with 2x IMR16340.

NOOBs IMR's are for hi drain Apps like an SST50-90 or Linger Special in a Surefire C2 6p Z2 and also your P7 MC-E. You will not get voltage sag and maintain hi output. There are many other lights that 17670 could be useful in single or multiple configurations. Milky's Mode with an E2E and P7 is another that comes to mind an IMR17670 would be great in there.

I don't remember anyone implying that IMR cells are without application, especially in high drain applications.

me too, I would really like to see IMR 17500 cells besides the IMR 17670. I sure can use a dozen IMR 17500s to power up P91....

I would rather have IMR17500's, but I would also like to see IMR17670's.

You can't bore out E-series lights for 18mm batteries! The battery tube is not big enough. And I prefer to keep my Surefire lights original, it's much easier to get an aftermarket body if I want 18mm batteries.

I wish there were more 17mm battery options available, everyone and their dog sells 18650's.

I want IMR17670's for a tri-bored Mag. Think of all the incan possibilities. Mag85, Mag09, regulated Mag61, etc.

I voted yes to IMR 17670's because cpfer wquiles is very close to finishing a multivoltage regulated battery pack for the Surefire M6 that will be built off of 17670's. Having IMR's available too will just make it that much more versitile: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=215806

I forgot about this until looking at it recently. Now if we can only get FM to make more KT4 bi-pin holders.

I initially voted 'no' in the poll (as I'm happy with my 18mm bored SF's), but your post reminded me of my dream of a mega-output SF L1 (the longer LuxIII model), which would benefit from the existence of an IMR 17670. So sure, eventually (when I get my old L1 modded) I would benefit from the availability of this cell.

Yes I agree, I'm pretty sure the P17670's don't fit in that body, but I'll bet an IMR17670 would.

There are a number of pocket rockets that run 16340, & have an AA body that works for boring to take a 17500 battery out there.

Surefire needs to bore thier lights for CR123 and 18650 batteries.
Is this an issue for any other P60 hosts besides Surefire?

Non military, non leo owners have to pay for primary batteries.
