"Aluminium oxide is an electrical insulator but has a relatively high thermal conductivity (30 Wm−1K−1[4]) for a ceramic material."

I've been potting electronics with aluminum oxide/epoxy mix for years with zero issues.

KineticParadox ...a personal web space with my CBA Battery Testing and my LED Bin Coding Charts.
depends on the driver version, have a look at the first page
total is 38.45€
I only accept Euro but you can let paypal do the conversion.
DerWichtel, about this 9A driver.. Can it be used as a current source of 9A to anything else, not just LED? In particular, Peltier element?
Yes, it can be used as a current source
I would like...
9A driver, standard version, $35 euro
registered international shipping, $4.50 euro
Would it be possible to have all wires soldered to the side with the coil? It will help me heatsink the component side a bit easier. If that is not possible, no big deal.
I can send paypal after you confirm stock and price.
Thanks!
that is no problem and I have the drivers in stock as well.
thanks!
Package received, looks nice. Wish I had time to do it right now.
Thanks.
Hi !
Is it possible to bridge the adjust. version of the Buck at 9 Ah, so i can use later a Poti ? I don't know at the moment if i should use the dimming function
With friendly regards,
Marktgraf
yes that is possible
Hi Wichtel,
how could i buy once of the greatest heatsik i've ever seen?
Please Pm me.
Joh
Hi Wichel
please check your post !
i sent u 2 mails ! (from: georg@........at)
thx !!
georg :-)
@ der wichtel:
thx for reply, please check your spambox again ;-)
georg :-)
the adjustable version must be bridged if used without potentiometer. Otherwise it is set to the lowest output value.
EDIT: no need to brigde anything

Ok, I want one of these for my sst-90 maglite build. Which version of this do I need to get over 2k lumen with a single emitter? Also do you sell the emitters? If not can you give me a part number recommendation for maximum light output? Ok I just saw your thread about the heatsinks as well. Will this driver mount to the heatsink easily?

you'll need the 9A driver, adjustable or non-adjustable. The driver fits into the heatsink.
As for the SST-90 I don't sell them you'll need the "N" bin to get the highest output. example SST-90-W65S-F11-GN100 BIN WN
Just send me a pm and I'll give you the email address where you can but the LEDs.
PM sent please get back to me. I want to get this stuff on the road.
sorry but 20mm is almost impossible
Hi there
I'd like to build a light source for my Jeep with a number of SST-90 emitters. I have almost everything of the build figured out except for driving the beasts!
Thank god for you and your drivers, I've been looking like crazy :-)
Car install means 12-14Vin - depending on car on car off, load, etc. I believe I can drive a series of three SST-90s with one driver at these voltages.
SST-90 WN bin at 6500k speced to top 3.8V Vf so it puts me very close to Vin. I still need to heatsink driver (which I'd do anyway to prolong its life).
Please correct me if I'm wrong with my calculations.
Is there anything that i've missed or need to bare in mind when building such application?
Thanks!
no thoughts at all :-) ?
sure, have a look at a few previos pages

You shouldn't use more than 2 LEDs in series because the car voltage can drop below the minimum voltage needed for 3 LEDs.
alright, thanks.
Two leds in series is good enough, It's going to be a very fun project.
I just learned that the place where i was going to buy sst-90s from no longer has them.
and finding sst-90 WN (I believe it's the same as GN101) is proving to be more difficult than i thought.
Do you have drivers in stock?
