Hi, I looked for an answer to this question and couldn't find.

I purchased a Innova 3320 multimeter which has a battery load test function. I use it to check the state of charge on 3.7 volt li-ion's. I have read on this forum that I should load the battery with a 10 ohm resistor when testing with a multimeter.

Does the battery load test function act as a resistor or do I still need one? If so which voltage should I use? (1.5-6-9-12 ) Thanks for help, John

With LiIon you do not need a load resistor, just select the 20 volt range.
For NiMH and alkaline batteries a 1 ohm load resistor is much better than 10 ohm and you use the 2 volt range.

And might I suggest that you check this guide to use a DMM.
