That would be my current watch. LED illuminated dial, of course.

Gorgeous watches, I have a few. This is my favorite, sorry about the poor photo:

I recently picked up a MkII LRRP Milsub (http://www.mkiiwatches.com/WSWrapper..._prebuilt3.htm). Not the "ideal" watch (see below) but its a great watch if you want a quality milsub style watch.

I like big watches. So at almost 42mm x 50mm, its about just right. The dial is clean looking and the C1 SL lume is decent and would last well in to the night (tested still readable after 5-6 hr, but of course, my preference has always been C3). I like the drilled lugs for easy strap change, but if i got to choose from the very beginning, i would opt for the screw pin version cause i think the spring bars are a little filmsy for the watch size (or maybe I just so got used to the screws pin on my PAM ). I like the watch, it looks great and right at home on NATO strap and I would imagine that's how I am going to wear it most of the times. (choosing screw pin would lose the ability to wear it with bracelet. but when NATO strap works this well, I won't mind losing bracelet at all)

Mine keeps time well within COSC standard. I like how its looks like a milsub, without being mistaken for a rolex 5513 or 14060 (at least in the eyes of WIS). The bezel action can be better, the "clicks" are not very satisfying. But it does the job. I sometimes miss the date window, I kinda wished for a date window at 4:30 position, with white number and black background. But I digress.

I used to love the Marathon SAR (and still think its one of the best bang for the bucks), but I eventually sold mine because its just a tad on the small side for me. The LRRP milsub is of great size, wear comfortably on NATO, easy to read, great milsub style. Its *almost* a replacement SAR for me. :-)

(sorry for the bad wrist shot, also i usually wear my watches on my left wrist)
    Let there be light.

Here are my two that I go between. I wear my G-Shock 90% of the time. I usually destroy a watch but not this one. It survives the construction site daily. I like the Fossil a lot too but if there's a chance I'll end up working on something while out I ALWAYS grab the G-Shock, the Fossil just seems too fragile to me.

I rarely wear my watches anymore with digital clocks on all the Cellphones these days. But I love really fine hand-made watches just for the art of it all. They get worn only on special occasions.

I feel guilty edc-ing my Omega seamaster sometimes but the last one endured 13 years of everything I could throw at it,it was worn out but still retained half its original value when I traded it on the co axial model 2 years ago.

I have never had a "real" nice watch...currently wearing an Orient Blue Mako. But I have been drooling over Ball watches for quite some time now and would love to get a nicely used one someday.

I have a 2003 Omega SMP, just back from Swatch, where it had a full service and new bezel and insert, I re brushed the bracelet and it's like new, unbelievable watches, but I've had my eyes on one of these, come highly recommended, so hopefully christmas might come early for me http://www.sinnwatches.com/proddetail.php?prod=si016

You are a very fortunate man w/ good tastes sir. I have never heard of these (a novice in this field of collecting) but I must say that Patek Philippe is gorgeous! I then proceeded to google shopping where my mouth suddenly dropped.

I guess I need to purchase another Powerball ticket.

Nice collection sir with an exquisite taste to match.

They have gone up a bit in value. I bought most of them around 6-9 years ago.

I currently own a Omega Seamaster that I've had for years. I have been telling my wife that I need a new watch. I want a Patek Philippe 5127R but then I started buying lights (A lot of customs). Maybe in a few years I can be as fortunate as kengps. kengps i agree with fisk-king you have exquisite taste

My ideal watch would be simple, lightweight, automatic, self powered, with tritium hands, atomic synchronization, look cool, cheap, last forever, and other stuff that would be cool to have in a watch but I haven't thought of yet.

I tried to get all of the above, but ended up getting this watch instead. I've had it for about a year. The quartz is a few seconds fast after a few weeks. I like it.

I think the Casio G-Shock GW810D is pretty versatile. Its:

    - tough (what G-Shock is all about)
    - self-contained (being atomic solar, so almost never have to mess with setting it)
    - reverse LCD (this one is surprisingly easy to read in most lighting situation, and it looks cool)
    - full of useful features (world time, multiple alarms, 24hr chrono, 60min countdown timer)
    - buttons are big and easy to access
    - bracelet is comfortable (bracelet rotates at the lugs, which fits even smaller wrist size)
    - just the right size too (actually quite slim for a G-Shock)
    - won't break your bank (more money for flashlights )

I do wished for day/date display in current time mode, a 24hr countdown timer, and adjustable EL during to 3 seconds.

The Casio that stays on my wrist 24/7/365. It has wicked bright dual blue LED lighting, it is atomic and solar, G-shock, analog and digital.

It is, IMO, the perfect watch. It has to be a VERY special occasion for me to take it off and put on my Citizen...
