POWER SUPPLY OPTIONS:

Example of setups.
  • Surefire 6P, C2, Z2:
you can run 2xIMR 16340 for 20 minutes of runtime (not protected, so you need to be careful how far you discharge these cells)

  • Bored Surefire C3, 9P, or 6P with extension.
you can run 2 x protected 18500 for about 75 minutes of runtime (shuts off when depleted)

IT IS SAFE TO RUN THESE ON 2 X 17500 CELLS

This drop-in runs on 1, but is fully regulated with 2 rechargeable cells
It will give full output with 2 cells until they are completely discharged

With a single lithium cell, It will run at approximately 75% output (800+ lumens) in this configuration.
These are not regulated on 1 cell
A single AW 18650 2600mAh cell will provide an hour of runtime.
You can run a single 17670 for about 35 minutes.

DO NOT USE 1 or 2 PROTECTED 16340 WITH THESE
Protected 16340 are not recommended at this current draw.

Do not run primary CR123 in these. The boost driver will drain them harder and harder until the cells overheat, and may explode.

I'll have a larger batch coming SOON for you guys.
I will try to keep up with demand the best that I can.

Great mod, looks cool too  I am going to need to buy a C2/C3 soon so I can try out some of these awesome new drop-ins that have been becoming available.

How much are these?

Thanks Tom, I had my order in within about 10 minutes of the email hitting my inbox.

The 6P smoothie has been waiting for one of these :D

I added a matching cell extender to allow for two 18500 cells, which should make for the perfect pocket rocket.

9P fits in your pocket?

Also, are the emitters mounted on a copper plate as well with this module?

A 9P fits in my jacket or a cargo pocket on my trousers just fine but it can be a 6P without the extender added, so I can be flexible as need be :)

Glad you snagged one man. :twothumbs

9P is now my favorite size.

Also, are the emitters mounted on a copper plate as well with this module?

These emitters are mounted to a top quality MCPCB. Along with the driver components.

These modules are truly fully regulated.

After a 3 minute warm up, output is still about 96% of turn on peak. Output remains there FOR 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES when running A 9P WITH 2X18500.

How can I get in on the next batch? I want, no...NEED one! :)
-Frank

Frank, I have a large batch coming to you guys in a couple weeks.
Stay tuned.

I snagged one! Thanks for the heads up email!

Any testing with single 26500 or 26650 IMR's? or are they a no-no?

Thanks! and as always can't wait to see whats next!

Single cell is fine with these.
They will run at about 75% output.

I haven't tested the runtime on those cells yet.

Comparing to the 2600mAh test:
IMR 26500 should run for about 50+ minutes
IMR 26650 should run for about 90+ minutes

I will do a true runtime test at some point with these cells.

They were up for sale at oveready.com, sounds like more will go up for sale there in two weeks

I didn't think business's were allowed to just link to sales on their website  Great looking item though.

Very nice :twothumbs

How do these compare to your Direct Drive Triple XP-G drop-ins, when used with a single AW 18650 2600mAh cell? Which would you recommend?

Thanks

This will surely look good in an orange 9P and run for a nice 40 minutes on 2 x IMR 18490!

Highly nice that they are regulated now!

I understand you have a 3 mode in the pipeline? I'm in for that one for sure!

Will the 3-mode have mode-memory? If not, what is the firmware mode sequence? When do you anticipate that the multi-output version will be available?

Hello Guys,

Yes, these are all built with the narrow clear lens.

If someone needs a different lens, please email me, and I will make a few exceptions.

There is no need to use IMR cells in a 2 cell configuration, unless it is IMR 16340.
The only change will be shorter runtimes.
These only pull about 1.3 amps with 2 cells.

We will have more models available in about 4 weeks.

The 3 mode does not have memory. It starts in HIGH 100%, then MEDIUM 20%, then LOW 2%

In 2 weeks we will have more single mode Neutrals, and Cools available.

Hopefully this next batch will last a bit longer for you guys. :)

I have done tons of testing on these, and they really do impress.
Very happy to offer them to you guys.
