Is there a difference in the depth of the threads at the head/body junction on the different generations of Surefire U2s? I just received a pineapple body and a used U2 head and the head will on turn in 1.5 revolutions. The Pineapple body was said to have been checked for fitment with another U2 head before it was shipped. My U2 head threading does not appear to be damaged. Thoughts anyone?

Not that I'm aware of. But hey I guess it's possible?

I'd lube it and go back and forth till it seated. Work those forearms out!

Thanks for the reply Sarge. I've tried using a good bit of pressure but made no progress. I'm afraid I might break something if I really put some muscle to it.

On the bright side, I came up with a 1xRCR123 body solution for my U2 head.

Hello flip

I have a few Surefire U2 .... three U2  one old U2 with 18650 capable body (SN A013xx) and two U2A (B443xx, B500xx). I can inter change all bodies of my U2 flashlights with no problem. Also the battery tubes fits on my Kroma + Kroma Milspec and Vampire also. Therefore I'd guess the threads are all the same in the Surefire U2 - Kroma - Vampire family.

Best regards
