Hi Guys looking at geting a 4sevens quark 18650 body. which head would you team that up with? The 0.9-4.2V or the 3-9V given both should work with the 18650 battries which will give the best output??

Cheers Tod

The .9 to 4.2v head will be in regulation for the whole battery life, but it will hit the protection hard. The 3-9v one will fall out of regulation quickly, but give much longer runtimes and not run into the protection circuit so hard.

Also, search please.

I prefer to use mine with the 3-9v head.

You can hardly see the decline in output tailing off, it runs for a long long time.

Me too, and it gives you the option of using two primaries in a pinch.

I used my 3-9v tactical head with a 17670 - now w/18650 cell and tube.
Runtime is amazing.

I have 3-9 v on mine. Also have 2xAA and 1xAA. There are some larger size 1.2v Nimh but I like having option of 123 primaries if necessary.
