Another PT Surge problem...

I just recieved my new light not too long ago, and after about 10-15 of intermittent use, the reflector near the bulb is discoloring/peeling. What?! I thought the new ones fixed this problem? Also, there is something small rattling around in the head, and I can't get it out. It sounds like a piece of plastic, but I can't be too sure. Grr...I hope it doesn't explode on me... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif

Should I send it to PT? I got it from a forumite, and it was new and no probs...

The small rattling sound should be the platinum catalyst. No clue on the discoloring/peeling though.

Yea, I think the rattle is the platinum crystal also.

The reflector problem should have been fixed,,, unless the person you bought it from was alittle confused, and its not the NEWSET version.

I would think that PT would replace it for you, im not sure what their policy would be, sence you are not the original owner. Or, ask them to send you a new reflector.
