I recently salvaged another 6 18650 from a $5 laptop battery. They said it was fully charged before they gave it to me. Why so cheap? They had an upgraded 12-cell pack and couldn't seem to get anyone to buy their old one.
After pulling it apart and checking the cells, they read 4.3v. A few minutes later, I checked the last pair after they were all removed and it read 5.3v. I checked the first ones and it read 5.4v.
Is my volt meter broken? It is odd that the voltages are reading that high, even for my rcr123 and functioning 18650 cells.
