Does anyone have both of these lights, and have any experience with the (eyeball) differences in light output/throw/runtimes etc, and it looks like the both run best on 1 18650, but RCR123's with the shorter barrel can be a problem. Also, has anyone tried the teleforce (not turboforce) head on the newer R5 engine? ....It evidently has worked ok for a few people with the Ultra SST-50 version, and in a much more compact fashion than the huge turboforce....
I was originally only looking for a very bright 18650 flashlight for work purposes, but in order to be more pocketable, I would love the option of 1 18650, or 1 rcr123 batteries to make it more compact......even considering a straight cr123/rcr123 flashlight if it suits my needs......I think the VX ultra has very short runtime on the RCR123, but do not know what the VX R5 runtime would be like on an RCR123. Also, does the D-Mini VX (R5) get anywhere as hot as the VX Ultra during the highest settings?
