Order placed andand email sent.
One Spy 007 with the SW GG treatment, with a Neutral XPG emitter.
I had trouble deciding between neutral and bright white, I hope I made the right decision.
Thanks Dave, now I wait.![]()
I may not be that bright, but my lights are!

I will take the same as PSM. Out of town today but will PP tomorrow And follow up with am email.
Thanks
Dave. I'm sorry, I am still struggling with my emitter choice.
Can't decide between bright white and neutral.
I know I already ordered neutral, but damn....
If its too late then that's fine, I'm sure I'll be happy with neutral.
I really don't even know if I want to switch to bright white. I'm a mess!![]()

You can have all the time to decide on this as you want. People ask me this every day.
I do not like to tell people which way to go as everybody's eye is different. And it depends on what you already have and what you will use the light for. There is also IMHO no bad decision to be made between a bright white and a neutral white emitter.
The bright white is better if what you want is a lot of light to see far away or to really brighten up a room. The Neutral is better for color rendition but, and I say this with a big BUT, your eye compensates for the color anyway. However, in the case of not enough light, there is nothing your eye can do.
All of my personal EDC lights are bright white.![]()

Soooo, tell us what you usually use your lights for?

I'm gonna stick with the 5000k neutral.
I use my lights for general purpose, every day stuff. Today I used my light in broad daylight to look down a gopher tortoise hole.
Thank you to the very helpful cpfers for their PM's and EM's. And thanks for your replies Dave!!

Sorry if this has already been posted before, but about how many lumens are put out at: 1000mA, 2000mA, and 3000mA? I have not kept up with CPF lately and am not familiar with the XM-L.
Oops, I missed this post, sorry. I am not sure if you are interested in the XP-G or the XM-L. This is the sales thread for XP-G only. However, in either case I can quote efficiency numbers on the emitters or you can see them yourself at Cree.com. There are also may emitter efficiency threads here on CPF that you can find. The light output of the XP-G is incredible and very efficient. The XM-L is a high power emitter and required new electronics.

My Lights_____________________________________________________________________________________________
Alright Troy!! Congrats!
Congrats Dad!
mmm...I think it might be time for me to grab a 007!![]()
Mine hasn't left my pocket since I got it this past Saturday - it's so cool having such an amazing tool with me at all times! I followed Scout24's lead and made bank 2 my night time set with the highest level being 100mA...then bank 1 is a nice spread from "how low can I go" to full blast.
24/7 Spy duty!
Scout hooked me up with some cool blue o rings, and Sassy the wonder cat likes to sleep on my lap with her "night light..." by her side!
I love it!!
Tigger likes it, too...

Greg, Brandon, Todd, Dan, Sergio: thanks fellas. I'm happy as hell to have one back in the collection. Brandon, I keep remembering back to Run #1 and the most exciting sales thread in CPF history....and how you were Dead Number One on the "I'll take it" race. The Spy 007 really has a sentimental feel to it, doesn't it? Have a feeling I'll be getting another....or a Tri-V again.![]()

I'm really wanting a GG SW 007 XML now....I just got my Tri-V in the mail and I now know why everyone says these lights are amazing.
Troy- Funny you mention sales thread #1, I was reading through that last night... I was "Here" for it, but wasn't involved. You can sense the excitement, and rightfully so, from re-reading the postings...Still state-of-the-art, timeless, and exciting.
Troy, yes that was the best!! I posted I'll take it before Data could even get his reserved post in.
Good times!![]()

Thanks all for pointing to that piece of CPF /Cool Fall history. I had not seen that, but my heart rate increased while I read the postings. Amazing. And as Scout says, the light is still state of the art and timeless - and my latest one hasn't left my pocket since I received it.
