Ok, I am new to the idea of EDC light, I have carried a Fenix PD20 and Streamlight Stylus Pro in my pants front pocket with clip for a few weeks just to get an idea of what I will order next.

Now that it is cold in Michigan I have a Eagletac P20C2 Mark II in my jacket pocket, so far I really like having it along. In warmer weather the Eagletac will be to much to carry.

I do conceal carry a handgun most of the time, so an EDC light needs to be used as a weapons light for handgun sighting in dark areas. I do like the strobe mode on the Eagletac and on the Fenix PD20. So high mode needs to be at least what the PD20 has at 190 lumens.

What are the three most important criteria for a EDC?

My list:

1. Reliability

2. Small enough for front pocket carry. (needs pocket clip, 1 cell CR123 or AA)

3. Brightness of 190 lm or so.

Maybe your criteria is different, if so, what are the three most important for you?
