Do the GG&G Tactical Impact Devices from a G2 or 6P fit the G2X/6PX?

GGG makes three SF TID, one for the 6P/Z2/Z3/D2/D3 (GGG-1127), one for the G2/G3/G2Z (GGG-1185) and one for the E series lights. I want to put the G2 TID on my G2X. I put the matched up the bezels from my 6p, G2 and my G2X and they appeared to be the same diameter. My question is why isnt the GGG TID bezel for the 6P compatable to the G2 and vice versa if they the same diameter? I ordered the G2 TID and will be getting it in a couple days. I am going to try to install it on my G2X and post photos if Im successful. Im calling GGG tomorrow and Im going to ask them about this.
