Deep rebel reflector in C mag, does it work?

I've made a couple of magmods with the standard reflector, then I switched to the rebel reflector, big difference in throw. I want to do an XM-L in the C mag with the rebel reflector, before I cut up an H22 heatsink to allow it to recess in the C body, does anyone know if the deep reflector works in the C body, will it allow the head to screw far enough onto the body? Quick advice would be appreciated, I want to start cutting on the lathe, I think I'm going to power it with a 26650 and I'm going to shorten the body.
