MINI-MAG XR-E MOD

i want to modify my 2 AA maglight to run the XR-E. From the research i have done XR-Es need 1000mA and 3.7 Vf. I was looking at running either a GD750 or GD 1000 but they arent in stock it seems. So is there any other board i can run that will work well with the XR-E, it also needs to fit inside the 15mm mini mag body?

Also will this work with the stock 2AA 3v supply even though the XR-E is rated 3.7v?
