Enlightened
So I just spent 10 hours at work with no power, not as fun as it sounds. But anyway, the restaurant has a 2d magled and a plastic piece o crap. So I ended up in charge. Well, we had 8 sets of emergency lights, 7 worked and after 3 hours, they were all dead. So I had my edc (hds140 and ld01 on the keys) and my car lights (tk11 and a rayovac headlamp).
All the lights got several hours of on and off use, most of them ran a good 3-4 hours, and didn't have to change a single battery. Very impressed there. The headlamp was frozen from being in my car and wouldn't work until it warmed up, wasn't the battery, tried 3, the light itself had to warm up, it will be replaced. But I gotta say, nothing beats a headlamp for trying to get work done in the dark. If you don't have one already, buy a couple.
I always thought maybe 4 lights was overkill, I wish I had 4 more to handout today, but just those were invaluable. Got a lot of comments about being the prepared one today.
