I enjoyed the one in September last year (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/....php?p=3529688), my first flashlight get-together, had fun and learned a lot - hopefully this one has a bigger crowd and better weather.

Please count me in. Glad CPF is back online. See you at the Party Barn.

Would like to also if the date works.

Okay. I got a date with the party barn and also talked to Mike at PTS. We are going to hold it on May 28th. Hopefully this will give everyone a chance to get it on their calendars.
We will do a potluck with burgers and hot dogs again probably.
Let the planning begin.
Count me in!
If your future's not bright enough, you need more light!
Okay, the date is set.
Plans are for a potluck. As we get more people checking in we should be able to get a better count. Probably start showing up about 6pm. This is adjustable.
Start telling your friends.
Could you pm the addy and your phone number
Thanks
Russ
Hi guys and gals,
I’m starting to get excited thinking about this get together.
PTS will giveaway lots of flashlights and have some very special deals for the flashlight enthusiasts that attend.
I’d like to give a BIG thanks to Skeptic for getting this party started.![]()

I'd be interested, but the only time I am up north is the weekend of the 15th for the WAC gun show.
Hi coctailer,
I usually work the WAC show but that's the one weekend I'm not going be there. I'm playing hooky and going Halibutt fishing out of West Port.
Next time you're going to attend the WAC show you'll have to stop by our tables. We usually have the complete Fenix line, EagleTac and now JETBeam & ThruNite. Be happy to give you a smoken deal at the show! It's best to contact me a day or two before the show to check for availabity.
Cheers,

i wish it was in VA
Sounds good...the 28th...I'll be there!![]()
Are you bringing any of your large reflectored creations, I want to see one , I'm sure others would too![]()
I will be bringing the 36 inch Gorilla for sure, (hopefully with an HMI bulb, but the current one works well, if I have to...).I'm looking at ways to bring the 50 inch Monster. It is amazing to see how well it can through the light from a large bulb such as a 40 watt CFL.

LightSward, I have a single-ended 1200 Watt HMI & ballast somewhere on the test shelf. Should I get that gear out to bring along or are you good to go?
I think I have an older double-end GEMI you might like to check out.

This is sounding like people have gotten this on their schedule. Time to start sending messages to as many people as you can.
Do we have the Wiki available again to coordinate the potluck and get a count of people?
I have at least 4 coming. More than likely a few more than that actually.
Mike is planning on having some door prizes.
Hamburgers and Hot Dogs provided. Potluck for the rest. If you can sign up for what you are planning to bring that would help.

There are two of us coming. I have been trying to find a hotel very close to the barn as last time was to far to drive home the same night. Got any names? Google only has the main ones on I5 out in Renton
Count myself and 3 others in!
I'm coming. Have requested acceptance in the Google group for this gig
Will bring a nice dish of sumpthin' yummy, and some fluids, of course.

I'd like to go, but Memorial Day weekend is bad. Every weekend in May is, actually.
Speaking of get togethers, Mike, are you going to have a table at the SAR conference the weekend before this?
I'm bringing the 36 inch Gorilla, and maybe the Mini LightSward. I could not get an HMI in time, (leaving home for a few weeks), I will use it with the 600 watt standard large arc HID bulb, which still produces a nice beam, and maybe hook up the panning mechanism. I hope to pick up some gear at the get together and make it shine much brighter 2012!
See you all there!!!

Well.......I will bring some tools, and we might get a HMI lamp within focal-length of the monster Gorilla.
With permission of course!
Maybe I should file an FAA Searchlight Operator's advisory?

Since this is the closet thing to sunshine that we may have, I'm bringing sunscreen, sunglasses (welding helmet) and a lawnchair and situating within tanning distance![]()
Sounds good.
I'll try and bring a small portable workshop with me to help with a possible HMI light focusing of the Gorilla.
(I actually have a direct phone number to the concerned FAA office for such things; as searchlights shining about airplanes). I live near a busy flight line of business jets, who sometimes fly through my searchlight beam... I contacted FAA about this, (before and after, I lit any airplanes), and was told, my searchlight has been seen by pilots, but the way I operate it, in a non threatening, predictable manner, it is not considered a nuisance. He said some pilots kind of think of it as an occasional welcome beacon.
I'll be away from internet access for a few days or so...nice and warm.

Blah! been awhile since i've used the vB software again. this is so de ja vu. (a few friends may know to what i'm referring to) anywho...
I'm gonna try and make it as i just bought this bad boy,for the roof of my jeep, however i won't have it installed, but i can still bring it along for some viewing pleasures.
I dont know what a google group is, shows how much out of the loop i am. But I'll probably show up with a plate of cookies or something.
Sounds like a good turnout. Hope to see you there!
