A friend of mine has an idea, what he would like is three cheap flashlights which he can vary the output (brightness) by twisting the head or a ring on so he can test lighting scenarios for macro photography.
Its so he can site them around an object and experiment with different levels of lighting.
He does not really want flashlights that the output is controlled by clicking or turning the head and then ramping up to a setting.
He wants to be able to turn a ring to change the output.
