There has been quite a few Zebralight discussions lately so I decided to take a few quick and dirty shots in order to help people decide which model is best for them or you can do like me and get all three.
I'm new to beamshots, hope they are helpful. I wanted to focus on close-up range. The shots were taken at 1.5 feet on a white wall, camera settings on auto.
First up is the H51. As you can see this is not a good choice for arms length work. Its much better suited for medium to long range.
Second is the H501. Even at 1.5 feet it has a very wide, clean and even flood pattern. Its excellent for close range arms length work. It is so floody because it doesnt use any type of reflector. The downside to it is it is limited to around 15 feet.
Last is my newly acquired H51Fw. As you can see it has attributes of both the standard un-frosted H51 and the H501, a very good compromise in my opinion.
