DX has the GU10 85 ~ 265VAC to 650 - 750mAh driver (SKU 13552 ) for pretty low prices. As far as I know, it's used to power those cheap shower-head lights with tons of cheap 5mm LEDs, probably in series, but I thought it'd be incredibly useful to be able to boost the amperage of those with AMC7135 chips. So is that possible?

If not, could you wire up five of those in parallel from a single 110VAC and then combine the output wires to get 3.5A? With the volume discount, it'd only be $10, which is a pretty cheap solution to dropping several hundred on a DC power supply.

How hard would it be to modify or build a similar driver with higher amperage outputs?

Are there already similar drivers out there with higher amperage?

Clearly, I'm a noob at the mercy of your criticism.

Thanks.
