Hi.

My next-door neighbour has lost the charger , it says on the inflater that it needs 12volt adaptor.

Does anybody know if an multi-voltage adaptor will work as a replacement charger?

You can see the cordless inflator in the link below.

Thanks.

There are many types of chargers/adaptors available.

You need to do a wee bit of homework (research) to find out more about what it is you need.
  • First you should try to contact the manufacture of the original piece of equipment. Provide the model and serial number and they should have what you need.
  • If that's not available, you'll need to find the correct polarity of both devices charger and equipment so they match, when you plug it in.
  • Then you'll need to know how many mA (milliamp) the charger puts out. A higher rated charger is ok but a rating too low could result in overworking your charger and it may brun out or overheat.
  • Then of course you need to know the correct plug-in (connectors) between charger and equipment. Some of those plug-ins look very close
  • As far as those multi-chargers are concerned, I'd be careful as they may not be rated high enough for current draw. You might get lucky and it works, but be aware. Those multi-adaptors are good for small peices of equipment and this all depends on the current draw on your inflator
Hope all that helps
