Arrow CPF Wiki

Ok... the old CPF Wiki was getting the hell beat out of it with spammers. And my understanding is/was that there was an issue with hosting. Anyway... I moved all that I could over to what is now the new and official CPF Wiki.

There is still quite a bit to be done and I was hoping to be able to fit in all of the information from THIS THREAD (if it hasn't already been covered somewhere in the Wiki), but I just don't have the time. There are other things that I need to work on and truly the Wiki should be more of a community effort rather than just me cutting and pasting.

So... have at it guys and gals! The Main Page is protected for now. If you need it unprotected, send me an email. And if you get something set up that you don't want touched, let me know and I'll lock it down for you.

Also... I am aware that there are still quite a few links that go to the old CPF... before the conversion to this software (I have no idea where those links came from!!). Whoever has the time and inclination, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated if you fixed them.

Once again... here's the link to the Main Page.... CPF Wiki ... and I will be putting a link in the top menubar as well.

What's the plan to keep spammers away this time? Last wiki was an absolute disaster, with spammer editing other spammer to add more spam.

Thumbs up Re: CPF Wiki

Absolutely awesome! I did not know there was an "old Wiki" page. 10 min on this new link answered many questions I have been searching for! Thanks for the rework and the icon on the main page.

Seems like the Wiki could be a great resource. I have been adding info about different flashlight models (4sevens, Fenix, NiteCore, EagleTac, iTP), chargers, and rechargeable batteries. Would it be possible to have some of the pages like Terminology unlocked so they can be edited?

Hi,
I was just about to start something new in the battery compatibility entry.
I noticed that it was edited by a spam bot, so I reversed that change.
It didn’t take long before the spam bot put something new there, this time
containing links to whatever. After some changes I decided an edit war with
a spam bot would lead to no end, I left it for good and thought to contact
a mod.
Apparently they were faster and now I′m banned along with the bot .

Could you revoke this ban?

In the change history of the wiki you can see that I only reverted the changes of the bot.

Now I can also post here what I was about to start:
I wanted to create a sortable table to provide a better overview of
battery compatibility.
Here is the code I already wrote, you can just copy it to a wiki article to
test it or just look at the picture below to get an idea.
{| class="wikitable sortable zebra" align="center"
!Manufacturer !!Model !!AA !!AAA !!CR123A !!RCR123 !!18650 !!Comments
|-
|Fenix || LD20 ||2 || || || || ||
|-
|Fenix ||LD10 ||1 || || || || ||
|-
|Jetbeam ||RRT-0 || || ||1 ||1 || ||
|-
|Sunwayled ||M10R R2 || || ||1 || || ||now Sunwayman
|-
|Sunwayman ||M10R R5 || || ||1 ||1 || ||former Sunwayled
|-
|}
I would welcome suggestions which battery types should be included
because I fear it will get to wide if “every” battery type is included.

I would also suggest to separate LED/incan types into an separate table.

OT: Greta, are you WikiSasha?

It would be great if you could add to the Wiki. But most of the entries are protected unless you set up an account and are signed in with your username. Even if your IP address is banned, you may be able to set up an account and edit entries (which is better anyway). If not, you may be able to get a different IP address by turning off your modem and restarting it (if you have DSL).
