Why would anyone buy primary lithiums?

Hi torch bearers,

I was wondering why people buy non-rechargeable batteries like the CR123.
Battery Junctions sells packs of them, but why?

Aren't RCR123's and 18650's cheaper and more environmentally friendly?

I'm going to close this thread, as it is not going anywhere. Well, it is, actually: to the Batteries forum, where it should have been posted in the first place. Or rather, where it should not have been posted either, as it is a true dead-horse-flogger.

Please follow it there, and read some of the numerous threads you will find on Primary vs. rechargeable cells. You will learn that both types have their uses.
