I have been lusting after a Strider small fixed blade knife for camping etc, but could not justify the cost. I recently had the chance to handle a number of knives and the Boker+ SOB immediately caught my eye.

Boker+ SOB (Special Ops Blade) Designed by Jim Burke

Length - 6.75"

Blade - 3.5"

Weight 4oz

It's a simple design, a thick slab of Sandvic 12C27 with canvas Micarta scales, a deep finger choil and very aggressive spine jimping. However, the knife is clearly a very well thought out tool, when gripped the butt of the knife fits nicely into the heel of the hand and works well with the jimping to give a secure grip.

A quick shot with a Spyderco UKPK for size reference.

Spine thickness again with the UKPK

Yes it is very thick, but with the sabre grind it is still capable of quite fine cuts and is great for food prep etc. It feels like a tank, very capable of prying and heavy cutting.

The blade steel seems very good, with good edge retention and seems easy to sharpen up very well on the sharpmaker.

One last shot in it's kydex sheath - please note that the sheath does not come with the tec-lok in the US.

Any questions / comments welcomed. Cheers - Pete.
